An application designed to improve the customer experience with an objective to help people in emergencies. In case of accidents or life threatening diseases, we rush to strangers and blood banks for blood and sometimes a delay can cost lives. We came up with a design solution for this project. The project was aimed at connecting friends and mutual friends.  Our focus was on how improving technology and connecting people could help save lives. 

The question we were thinking about initially was whether this would work as a standalone app and if people would use it or would resort to traditional mediums for asking for help. 

However, with research we realised that people would use the app, and there are lots of people who would want to help their loved ones or maybe anyone who reached out for help. Many people donate blood but most of it reaches expiry before it can help someone, or doesn’t reach the patient on time.

When downloaded the app syncs your contacts and sends an invite. Your friends then download the app and select their blood group once and it gets stored, you can select your preferences regarding who can reach out to you.

The use of red could be seen alarming but the interface and interactions were designed in a way to make the user feel less anxious, and feel good about helping out and making a difference.

The app was designed to be simple to use and friendly, with the use of big tappable areas, icons and easy navigation, where the home allows the user to instantly search for donors by inputting the blood type and location, which then shows them a list of donors, who they can instantly reach out to for help by calling them or sending out a default message, these messages can also be forwarded, in case the users contact list could have someone with the blood type that can help out. Once the blood is received the user can mark as completed.
