Earlier, birth control pills were packaged loose in vials, like any other medication. They also came with complex instructions on how to take them.
The Wagner Pill Dispenser, built in 1961 — Designed to be indistinguishable from a cosmetic 'compact', and to help women remember when to take their pills.
