Karnewale means ‘the doers’. It refers to people who identify a progressive, pressing need in the world around them and set about doing something to address the need.
India is steamrolling her way to development. There are several positive stories and improved lives as development takes place. At the same time, India is largely plagued by its old demons – poverty, corruption, women, children and environment at risk, communal disharmony and a host of other issues that stand in the way of equitable and sustainable development.
